    Thanks Bruce. They are fantastic birds. So agile and beautiful. To think they nearly became extinct.

    Glad you finally got to Gigrin Allan. For record purposes the Extinct comment is as a Breeding species in the UK - down to 1 or 2 pairs only. But they were still in parts of Europe. It was so easy to feed them poisoned carcasses in winter to kill these, Buzzards, Ravens & other members of the crow family.
    Providing the then only feeding station for them helped to keep them away from the said poisoned carcasses. I think we are now up over 3000 & growing. This is proof that if the right type of Conservation is used with a little protection, humans can save Wildlife, we need to do more for other Birds Of Prey before it's too late. Hen Harrier & Goshawk are now heading for the brink! Marsh Harrier was saved by Reedbed management & Nature reseves.

    Thanks Barry. Couldn't agree more regarding what we can do for wildlife if the will and the resources are there. If only what was done for the Red Kite and Marsh Harriers could be done for the Hen Harrier.
