Graham and myself spent six magical days on Mull visiting and staying with Kath and Stephen Grammer. We saw some amazing wildlife in wonderful scenery. These included, Hen Harriers, Golden Eagles, White Tailed Sea Eagles, Buzzards, Corncrakes, Whinchats, Stonechats, Golden Plovers, Common Sandpipers, Dunlin, Cuckoos, Great Northern Divers, Red Breasted Mergansers, Short-eared Owl, Otter (distant views)Turnstones, Yellowhammers, Dunlkin, Redshank, Wheatears, Whimbrel, Eider Ducks, Gannets and Curlew, and other birds. an amazing place. Most night's Red Deer would come down to Kath's garden to taste the delights of the grass.
The Island of Mull is truly a special place and we were both grateful to Kath and Stephen for the great hospitality they made available. One more thing, if you go to Mull make your way to Tobermory and treat yourself to fish and chips from the portable fish and chip cabin at the harbour. You will not be disappointed.
