Gannets, Gulls and Fulmars Galore :IPhotos from Diving Gannets Trip with Yorkshire Coast Nature
These birds can dive up to 60 mph
What a beauty (Both bird and fish)
It's a battle to keep what you have caught
Catch me if you can
Gannet being mugged by another
As they came over the boat it gave great opportunity for over-head views
Fulmars picking up the scraps
Good views of its tubular beak
This Gull didn't have the fish for long.

Are they fish that you are throwing in / or are they baited in with chum?
ReplyDeleteNice shots Allan and the weather looks like it stayed good for you.
ReplyDeleteHi Barry. These were the fish that were thrown out for them. Yes Dave the weather was goodas it needes to be out there in an open boat. Off to do it again in August with David. Great having them so close. The challenge is spotting and getting the individual gannet with a fish ( Other than showing it getting mobbed and robbed by others)
